On June 19th and 20th, the National Council For Adoption will host the 2014 National Adoption Conference at the Buena Vista Palace in Orlando, Florida. I will not be attending but I DO implore that if anyone CAN, to please DO so. Our voices cannot be heard if we do not demand a seat at the table. So with that; I share their news. Opportunities to network and EDUCATE at #NAC14:
- Council on Accreditation
- Department of State
- US Citizenship and Immigration Services
- Attorneys and adoption legal experts
- Communications Experts specializing in adoption
- Congressional Advocates
- Adoption Medicine practitioners
- Adoption Service Provider Management
At this year’s conference, Charting a New Path: Creativity vs. Reactivity, expert speakers will educate, inspire, and challenge attendees to move from reactivity to creativity. The United States adoption process can benefit overall from adoption professionals regularly reevaluating their practices and procedures, becoming proactive in the field of adoption, and focusing on ways to effectively respond to and serve their clients. Throughout the conference, professionals and leaders in the field of adoption will be updated on current adoption policies and practices and will learn how to revamp their adoption procedures to best help children in need of families. The program will include a mix of interactive breakout and plenary sessions, roundtables, and panel discussions.
