Contact Governor Kasich encouraging him to sign the bill that allows Ohio adoptees adopted 1964 to 1996 to access to their Original Birth Certificate upon request at age 18, starting one year from bill enactment date!

Like maybe it is true that there was a maternity home for pregnant nuns that was run in Cape May New Jersey? Maybe the Catholic Church sent the all knocked up nuns from all over the country to this special Cape May Catholic Nun Maternity home?
Starting on July 1, 2014, Washington State adoptee 18 and older who were adopted on or before October 1, 1993 will able to request their original birth certificate with the passing of Senate House Bill 1525, minus, of course, the dirty nasty contact veto.
Year after year, Brooklyn Assemblymember Helene Weinstein, Chair of Judiciary Committee, has stepped in to hold A909 from advancing to the assembly floor for a vote. She has stymied New York’s widely supported legislation and continues to say the birth parents were promised confidentiality which is a LIE.
If there was a theme of this year’s ARD, I think this might be it; Coming together, working together, making things possible, for while some helped to get me on that plane, others helped to keep me sane and make it work. It is YOU who make it all worthwhile! But that’s is what it is about at the Adoptee Rights Demonstration. We come to gather to make a our much needed voices for Adoptee Rights be heard and garnish the strength for another year ahead with the company of others who understand.
