NOW, THIS MOMENT, YES RIGHT NOW!! 🙂
Have you asked your close friends and family to send in testimony as well? It can be as simple as a paragraph saying they support the bill and adoptee rights. Below is a sample email that you can share with them, and can also be used as a base to get you/them started.

Some people have been confused by dates mentioned in the initial paragraphs. The bill, as written, currently provides access to ALL adoptees over age 21 retroactively and prospectively. It is written as a clean carve out from the already very confusing/not well drafted statute. Note the language: “Except as provided in subsection (c)….”

To Public Health Committee Co-Chairs Representative Terri Gerratana and Representative Susan Johnson, and Members of the Public Health Committee:
I am writing to ask for your support of Raised Bill 5144, An Act Concerning Access to Birth Certificates and Parental Health Information for Adoptive Persons. I have a (friend/family member) who is (an adoptee, adoptive parent, birth parent, etc.). I strongly believe that ALL adult adoptees should have access to their original birth certificates, and the bill should be both retroactive and prospective.
Thank-you very much for your consideration.
Sincerely,
