Jeep Knows Bloodlines Matter

Jeep Knows Bloodlines Matter

Perhaps Jeep Could Sponsor Adoptee Rights?

We all have a bloodline, but it takes a bold spirit to say……

Give Me Access to my Original Birth Certifcate!

Dear Folks at Jeep,

I dearly love your new commercials and I am not the one in the family who looks whistlfully at Jeeps as they pass us on the road. That’s my husband Rye who still mourns the last of our Jeeps which was sold late last year. That said, the first time I heard the words of this campaign during the commercial, it brought tears to my eyes.

Adoptees Denied Their Bloodline

Yes, we all do have a bloodline, but Jeep, did you know that close to 7 million American citizens are denied access to their heritage, their history and their true identity?  It’s true. And we could really use the help of a strong American Brand that also believes in history, family and heritage as we fight to free adoption records.

And Jeep, or you smart folks that are hopefully monitoring Jeep’s social media mentions, adoptees have blogs and their parents have blogs too, and we share things on Facebook like nobodies business, and we know how to make links and promote stuff and I can promise you that a donation from Jeep to the Adoptee Rights Coalition would give you a heck of a lot of nice quality posts about how Adoptees and Birthparents and adoptive parents love their Jeeps.
Show us how much you really support the bloodline of people as well as automobiles. Please, we could really use the help! It wouldn’t take much from you, but it would mean EVERYTHING to us!

  1. I just saw this commercial. I heard “Everybody has a bloodline…” and I it seemed like the world stopped for a second. I am an adoptee and I am well aware that everyone has a bloodline, I just don’t know mine, and mine doesn’t know me. What a great post! I really like and appreciate your thoughts. OMG, if Jeep backed adoptee rights, that would gigantic! I am going to “like” them on FB and watch the tidal wave of comments come in to their page. Or at least I think that is what will happen. Again, great post! 🙂

  2. Claudia YOU are a GENIUS. Please let us know if Jeep responds.

Do you have the addresses for The Jeep/Chrysler corporation’s president? and the Creative Director at the Agency for this Ad? Should we all write to them?

  3. I am an adoptee. Found my birth mom and 5 siblings. I also know I am of Cherokee descendants. I have my grandmothers death certificate with my birth mothers signature on it. But my birth mom disowned me when I asked her to sign a form so I could get my records released and my birth certificate. Another trail of tears.

  4. This is awesome, Claud.

  5. Thanks, Claud! Here is my email:

    Dear Chrysler:

Your bloodline commercial is good but it stings for those of us who are legally banned by our government from our bloodlines.

You see, adoptees in the United States of America “the land of the free” have their original, truthful birth certificates sealed by the states upon the finalization of our adoptions. We are NEVER allowed to view or possess the truthful documentation of our births.

I would like for your commercials to not “sting” any more citizens in the United States and I’m sure you feel the same way. Would Chrysler help to free us from the antiquated laws that discriminate against us by sponsoring the Adoptee Rights Booth at the National Conference of State Legislatures this August in San Antonio, Texas?

If so, please contact the Adoptee Rights Coalition at: http://adopteerights.net/nulliusfilius/

    Thank you for your time!

    Sincerely,
    Mara

  9. And here’s my follow up response to the form letter I received:

    EMAIL CASE NUMBER: 2574389

    Dear Alyssa:

When you say “investigation and correction”, what exactly do you mean by that?

I’ve asked Jeep to take in consideration that their “Bloodlines” commercial is hurtful to millions of customers who are legally banned in this country to their bloodlines simply because they are adopted. I’ve asked for Jeep to take a stand for us and make a donation to the Adoptee Rights Demonstration so all of us can enjoy our “bloodlines”.

    Thanks,
    Mara
