Yeah, that was the point…I really really wanted people to be aware of us evil scamming Beeeeemommies. I mean aftter all , I got such great things out of adoption.

Saw the Montel show today. He didn’t give you any chance to talk your side, but they clearly had you on there for the wrong reasons.
A show about adoptive parent scams was not going to ask for the adoption reform you wanted to talk about.
Being as you have an “in” as an adoption expert, have you considered suggesting to them that they do an hour segment on scams occurring with first mothers?
When he asked you something to the effect of “what do I need to do so that I can have a baby,” I thought: “Yikes! The producers really don’t have any clue what you are about.” Kudos to you for not giving him a left hook. 🙂

I really think you should follow up with them. Equal time should be given to agency scams that occur to first moms, too. Good luck!

I’m probably the last person you want to hear from, but I just wanted to say that I watched the Montel show and it was interesting to see and hear you IRL (kinda..lol). Its amazing to me how one can view a person from reading what they say, vs what they really might be like.
With that said, I thought you were so very well spoken and I really wanted to hear more from you. It definitly would of been more of an interesting show, due to the fact the ‘scam show’ has been done before. Even with the same scammer to boot.
I couldnt believe how Montel just kept cutting you off (but that was to be expected since it was the montel show), I wont even discuss the comment on “where can I get a baby from” (insert angry face here). I just expected he should of done more research on what is appropriate to say and what is not.
I was really amazed by your patience, knowledge (from what little they let you say) and of course your tolerance.
I have always believed that we need to look at these adoption practices, and how things MUST change. To make it more human vs a business, due to the mere fact we are talking about human beings on all parts of triad and not just some materialistic thing.
Well, I guess I just wanted to say, that it was nice to see you on the show, you were very level headed and very composed discussing reform. I actually was getting angry that he wouldnt let you get a point across.
You handled yourself with dignity and respect. I just wanted to let you know that.
but i have to ask, why on earth did you agree to go on the ‘montel show’?….lol
anyway, keep on speaking out, you have a very eliquent way about you, that I believe people will listen.
Oh, and I want to say sorry, I truly mis-judged you, bad bad bad me, you were not what i had imagined in my head at all.

fauxclaud I saw the show and thought you did very well. I watched for your anger and it did not show and you did get some good points across.. one being that foster kids are in need of care and infants need not be the ones that should be relinquished and adopted..

I saw the show and it seemed to me that Montel was really kind of incoherent…even with the paps.
he didn’t seem bothered by the fact that adoption is a big business, he only wanted to find out how to get a baby. His lack of concern for any kind of ethics was obvious.He only wanted expediency.
He acted kind of desperate…
You appeared very sensible and then he cut you off. Not one of his better moments.
One point that you made that was very clear was that there are foster children to adopt in America, but people are pursuing newborns. And Montel is one of them.
I thought I would throw up when Montel turned to the camera at the show’s end and said “Buyer Beware!” How DID you keep from punching him?
You had such amazing grace and poise on that show. I am in awe. I snuck away from work to watch you.
As inappropriate as it is, I can’t help myself saying congratulations. This is a really touching post and I am thinking of you as you find your way forward.
