The BEST awareness colors list EVA!!!

Awareness Color Ribbons and Their Meanings

It’s really too huge to post here! But it is worth checking out. I thought I was a big deal because I knew that rainbow jigsaws were for Autism Awareness. oh well..
Who knew such things:
Red is Pro-life,
Orange is for Feral cats and self injury,
Yellow is suicide prevention and adoptive parents,
Green is a pretty busy color! Tissue and organ donation or transplants, depression (both adults and children), bipolar disorder, mental health or illness, bone marrow transplants and donation, missing children, growth and rebuilding & Stem Cell Research.
Navy Blue is for police officers lost in the line of duty (AKA, the Thin Blue Line),but not anywhere else!
Purple…they do not have our Strange and Mournful day ribbons, but I find the most intriquing in a dark sort of way “children left unattended in cars”.. that’s a dark sad ribbon…
White is marker for right to life,

Adoption Awareness Colorspost partum depression.
Black was selected by Anti-terrorism in Spain. Just Spain.
ok blah blah gray brown.. then we have:

Lime Green –Support for Adoptees Rights to open adoption records that have been sealed.

Pretty cool!
And then.. who knew!
Pink = Breast Cancer, Birth Parents, cleft palate, nursing mothers ??? Since when? Who said?
It’s crazy!
So you have to go see the whole list youself!
Though I am curious as to what Parental Alienation Syndrome is??…
Oh.. very interesting.. sounds almost like a sever form of adoptee loyalty!! Wow.. I love learning a new thing every day!

  1. Orange is for feral cats?????

  2. Yes! Who knew!
That’s why I included it on my best ofs.. Feral cat awareness!

  3. Eeek. Wonder what would happen if you used the wrong colour. Like, would the Crafts ‘N’ Scraps vigilantes come and kneecap you?

  4. Yeah, you know those crafty types.. put the fall scrap bits back with winter or use a non acidic pen.. that cause to get a professional hit out on you!

I personally like things that incorporate the N’..like
    Griddles’N’Skillets
    or Bastards’n’Whores!
    Almost as good as a o-rama! Hair-o-rama! Shoes-o-rama!

  5. I have to admit it….I hate awareness ribbons, no matter what the cause, even feral cats and I am fully in favor of spay ,neuter and hopefully adoption for stray kitties:-)

I have a good friend who recovered from breast cancer, and she totally loathes all that pink crap. I agree.

Can’t we have a nice clever button that says something zippy and to the point rather than those lame ribbons?

As to crafters…yikes, I’m scared of those domestic types!

  6. The crafters are crafty, but it’s the scrappers that really scare me.

  7. hey hey don’t go all wrong on the scrappers…seriously this ribbon stuff is so out of hand…yellow adoptive parents…hmmm ya learn something every day
